Cooking With Beer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beer Barbecue Sauce 2 tbs cooking oil 1 small onion, minced 1/2 cup beer (preferably a bock or a honey beer) 1 small can tomato sauce (approx 8 ozs) 1 small jar duck sauce (or other sweet/sour mixture) 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce 3 tsps chili powder 2 tsps salt 2 tsps black pepper 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper * In a saucepan, brown onions in oil until translucent. Stirring constantly, add beer, tomato sauce and remaining ingredients. Bring to a slight boil and remove from heat. Baste chicken, ribs or any other kind of meat with sauce and serve extra sauce on the side. The Park, which brews 2.2 million hectolitres of Guinness annually for the British market, has a current staff of 1200. This is a historic departure for Guinness which until now has been known as a "cradle to grave" employer. Beerflavor.com will "fill the gap from traditional commercial sites" by "focusing on the flvor of the beer and the people who create it".
