Place the chili beer and ice cubes together in a large metal bowl. * When the water is boiling vigorously, add the dark lager and the shrimp. Stir well, and let cook for just a few minutes until the shells turn pink. * As soon as the shrimp are cooked, remove with a slotted spoon and place in the icy chili beer. * When the shrimp are cool enough to touch, remove from the icy beer and place on a platter. Serve with a honey mustard dipping sauce or horseradish sauce on the side. Lawsuits brought by A-B were thrown out in the two countries, allowing Budvar to continue to sells its products there. (BEERWeekTM-Week of Dec 27) * U.S. District Judge Allen Sharp ruled that banning direct shipments of wine and beer is unconstitutional. The ruling, which affects only Indiana for the time being, is touted a fortification for the nation's wine and beer producers in their fight for fair access to the direct shipment market. Small producers who are unable to attract major distributors consider direct shipments, such as Internet orders, their only way to attract the business of the majority of the public. Large distribution houses, major brewers and vintners have opposed direct shipping of alcoholic beverages because they bypass the distributor.
