The aroma is floral. It has three malts. One adds toasted flavor and the other add malty flavor. These two, together with the 2-row pale, produce an abundance of fermentable sugar. The I.P.A. has the highest original gravity of all of the Harpoon beers. The sugars ferment fully creating 5.9% alcohol by volume and leaving no residual sweetness. The overall character of this beer is floral, medium bodied with an agressive clean hop finish. Harpoon Octoberfest - The character and complexity of this beer comes not from the yeast but from the malt and hops. The color is a blend of Munich, chocolate, and pale malt. The thick head results from a portion of whet malt added to the grist. Tettnang hops add a subtle spice nose that blends with the malt character. Willamette hops are used to provide a gentle bitterness and to balance any sweetness present from the malt. The overall character of this beer is a balanced blend of hop and malt from start to finish. .....THESE BEERS AVAILABLE SOON AT TACO MAC..... on draught, of course!!! Beer was safe according to Saint Arnou because "from man's sweat and God's love, beer came into this world". Saint Arnou is often confused with Saint Arnou of Oudenaarde. The name is also sometimes spelled St Arnould or St. Arnolds. (Encyclopedia of Beer, Christine P. Rhodes, editor)
