Sandy Springs - Thu, Aug 5th Snellville - Fri, Aug 6th Cumming - Sat, Aug 7th Don't forget to check out the calendar of events on our website for promos in upcoming weeks: http://www.tacomac.com/cgi-bin/calendars/tacomac/WebEvent Cooking With Beer ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Porter-Chili Paste Grilled Shrimp 12 oz porter 1/3 cup toasted sesame oil 1 tbs frozen lime juice concentrate 2 tbs thai fish sauce 5 cloves garlic, peeled & crushed 2 oz candied minced ginger 1 tsp powdered cardamom 1 tsp Chinese red chili paste 1 1/2 lbs shrimp, heads removed, shell on 10 bamboo skewers, soaked in water * blend the porter, sesame oil, lime concentrate, fish sauce, garlic, ginger, cardamom, and chili paste and whisk well. * rinse the shrimp and place in a gallon sized zip seal plastic bag. Pour the marinade in, seal , and refrigerate overnight. * Prepare a grill and thread the shrimp on skewers, three pieces to each skewer. The new plant, based in the Kaluga region, has the capacity to produce 100 million bottles of beer a year. The brewery will contract Czech Staropramen beer, a property of Bass Plc. South African Breweries also has facilities in Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Romania. * The House Judiciary Committee has approved a bill to restrict the direct online sale of beer and wine. States would be able to block direct shipments of alcoholic beverages to consumers. Wholesalers back the bill because they try to restrict the use of the Internet as a means to eliminate the middle man. * Rock Bottom Restaurants announced that its stockholders have approved the acquisition by RB Capital, Inc of the company in a "going private" transaction. The Company's common stock will continue to be traded on the Nasdaq National Market until three days prior to the closing of the transaction. * Adolph Coors Co, parent of the third-largest US beer brewer, sold more beer than in any previous quarter as second-qtr net income rose 17% and earned $46.2 million. Coors said the strongest sellers were Coors Lt, Killians Irish Red, and Zima.
