Ingredients:  2 row malt, chocolate malt, Munich malt, crystal malts, caramel malts

Hops:  Centennial, Cascade , East Kent Goldings
Birthdate:  First brewed February 6, 1998  (Bob Marley’s birthday)

14.5% plato			42 I.B.U.
5.9% a.b.v.			proprietary yeast

In January 1998 Sweetwater Brewing was selected over all other Georgia microbreweries to produce the Symposium Ale for the 1998 Craft Brewers Convention being held in Atlanta.  The Exodus Porter debuted as "Symposium Porter" in April 1998 as the official beer of the conference.  The Symposium Porter was so well received at the conference that it was made available to the public as Exodus Porter in April. (Not to mention the fact that the brewers wanted a dark beer to drink at the brewery).  The Porter is Sweetwater’s contribution to the movement of the "people seeking finer beers".  This medium-bodied porter is defined by generous amounts of chocolate malt, a nice hop character and a rich, velvety mouthfeel.
